What We Do

K Street Capital is a Washington, DC–based venture capital firm that invests across the U.S. through its Fund, Syndicate, and DC-focused Fund of Funds.

We back exceptional founders and fund managers focused on early-stage tech in high-growth markets with strong regulatory tailwinds (specifically healthtech, fintech, cybersecurity, climatetech, and AI).

Fund Investments

Our fund backs U.S.-based, seed and series A stage technology companies, reserving a portion of our fund capital for follow-on investments. We focus on exceptional founders with domain expertise building companies that shape the next generation of our world in a positive way.

What we look for:

01. Exceptional foundering teams as the most important indicator

02. Product-Market fit with early revenue growth

03. Go-To-Market moats and raving customers

04. Large & growing markets with regulatory tailwinds

05. Valuation ranges of $5-15M

06. Unique competitive advantage and potential for category leadership

What we don’t look for: Hardware tech, Capital intensive industries with high infrastructure costs, Biotech, Medical Device, or anything requiring FDA approval, CPG, Food & Beverage, and Weapons.

Our fund is currently closed to new LPs.

Direct Investments

Our Syndicate primarily focuses on doubling down in our fund’s portfolio companies (see above) in addition to other U.S. based deals on a case by case basis. For example, we often invest in companies that are tangential to our fund-thesis but perhaps earlier in stage (pre-seed) or later/growth (Series B and above) opportunities.

Outside of our fund investments, we also consider:

Pre-seed companies that could become fund investments in 12-24 months
Later stage opportunities in areas where our membership has special expertise and high conviction
Our 75+ prior-to-the-fund existing syndicate investment pro rata and secondary opportunities

Fund of Funds Investments

K Street Capital manages the DC Venture Capital Fund of Funds Program, an SSBCI fund in partnership with the U.S. Treasury and the District of Columbia. This vehicle backs top-performing early-stage VC managers fueling the next generation of DC-based startups, an initiative expanding access to capital across the ecosystem and strengthening the city’s early-stage innovation pipeline.
